The weekend I gained 500 pounds, or 227 kg.

As many of you know, two weekends ago, I took Orin to Lake Akan for his birthday. We stayed at Hana Yuuka. It was a lot of fun! The lake was still covered with ice, but it was beautiful. We also saw the sun setting over the mountains. Here is a picture of our window during the sunset:

Our hotel had yukata for us to wear to the onsen. Here is a picture of Orin:

Our dinner at Hana Yuuka was really big. Really, really, REALLY BIG. After we ate, I thought I would never eat again! I was wrong. The same day we came back from Hana Yuuka, we went to a barbecue at Yumiko’s house! Yuki brought delicious wagyu beef. It was impossible to say no to more food! We ate and ate and ate… and I feel like I gained 500 pounds, or about 227 kilograms. That is about as heavy as one of Yuki’s cows. Thanks to Yuki and to Yumiko for providing us with such wonderful hospitality. Hopefully, as the weather warms up, I will exercise more. I don’t want to end up like the cows!
