Ichiro!

I forgot to mention in my last blog – congratulations to Ichiro for breaking the record for the most hits among Japanese baseball players!
Orin and I were surprised on Thursday, when we turned on the TV and the Mariners game was on! We got to see Ichiro hit a grand slam, tying the record with Harimoto. The next day, we turned on the TV, and there were the Mariners again! Ichiro hit a single, breaking the record for the most hits of any Japanese baseball player. Go, Ichiro!
For you baseball fans out there, the Mariners will be on NHK again this week – on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will try to watch, if we can. Go Mariners!
