I wasn’t sure what to say in my blog post today, but I decided to talk about food you can make with pumpkins. Usually, I make a pumpkin soup. I cut and peel the pumpkin. Then I boil it with chicken broth, onions, and garlic. Then I mash it and add some other things (like chicken or other vegetables and spices). One pumpkin can make enough soup for almost a whole work week!
Last week, I made pumpkin bread for the first time. It was delicious! Have you ever had pumpkin bread? It’s good for desert. I am not very good at baking, so I was very pleased that it came out well. I also used a fresh pumpkin – so I made it from scratch! I am also planning on roasting the pumpkin seeds. I like putting pumpkin seeds on salad. They taste good, and they’re healthy.
