Busy as a bee!

Hello again! Orin and I have been so busy with Teri and Tom. Do you know the English expression, “busy as a bee?” We say that because bees are always working and moving. Recently, so have we! We have been as busy as a bee!
On Saturday, we went to two farms and looked at honey bees with Shinobu and Masami. We had a picnic lunch with fresh honey! It was so delicious. We also got to watch one beekeeper get honey from his bees. I had never seen that before! Have you?

On Sunday, we went to Akan, and rode on the marimo sightseeing boat! It was exciting. I think marimo are so cute! Here is one being made:

The weather was very nice. It was a great day for a boat ride!

After Akan, we drove to the coast, a little south of Kushiro. Tom likes surfing, so he had a good time looking at the waves.

Today, Teri went to a grocery store. She looked at many different kinds of fish. What’s this?
