Two Farms

Orin and I have been to two farms. The first farm we went to is the cattle farm that Yuki works on. The word “cattle” means cows. Orin and I got to see what a wagyu cow looks like – boy, are they FAT! I think that cows are very cute, but I also think that they are delicious. It was great to see where beef comes from. Thanks, Yuki, for showing us where you work!

The other farm we went to belongs to one of my students, Atsu. He grows many vegetables. He said that his potatoes go to Calbee, and get made into potato chips! Now when I eat Calbee potato chips, I will think of Atsu. He took us all over Tokachi. The picture below is in the biggest cattle grazing field in Japan, near Daisetsuzan National Park. Orin and I had a really great day – thanks for showing us around!
