Mayumi is going on her delayed honeymoon. She got married in March and is going to Peru this week.  It's twelve hours to Atlanta and then six hours to Lima. Ryukichi went to Kitami for a business seminar last weekend and found the weather very hot. Yasuko went looking for water borne bugs for her video about rivers. She found a dirty river to video but couldn't bring herself to go searching in the water. Two junior high school students walking by volunteered to search the water for her. She called their school afterwards to tell their teacher how kind they were. Mika took her glasses off and then stepped on them. She had to order  a new pair. Kyoko had a scare when the lights at work started swaying in the earthquake. Atsuko was proud of her son's award for best photo in the Obihiro high school photo contest. He'll be entering the Hokkaido contest next. Haruki was shocked at the opticians when he found out that he needed reading glasses. Congratulations to Yo who will be going to McGill University in Montreal next spring to do research. Montreal is a wonderful city and he'll be there for three years.
