Last night we talked about the phenomenon of adult children staying at home longer with parents longer. Surprisingly, this is not a singularly asian trend. The same is happening in North America. The cost of living is now so high that young adults can't afford to move out on their own. Everyone talked about Tokyo and the very high cost of living there. Ayano said she had friends in their late thirties living at home and commuting to work in the city. The cost  of education  is high as well. These days most people in Canada expect to graduate from university in debt.
