Step 2M

Good afternoon. Thank you all for coming today. It was a shame that both Atsuko and Yukako couldn't make it today because I had a bit of a surprise for all of you. I brought some special maple flavored coffee and small cakes from Ryugetsu. We enjoyed drinking the coffee and eating the cakes while chatting. It was so nice! I hope you all enjoyed it, too. Then you discussed the questions I wrote on the board with your partner and we started the new unit. We did a listening and studied the new grammar structure. We will practice this more next week. Please don't forget to do part (c) on page 104 for homework. I hope you all have a great week and hopefully I can see everyone in class next time. So until then, please take care. Bye for now!

Hello Noriko! Thank you so much for your message and sorry for my late reply. I've been really busy this week and so tired from the heat.
So you went to Akkeshi, hey? That sounds like so much fun. I'm glad you had a good time with your husband and neighbors.
By the way, Paul and Trish also went to the pottery market last Saturday. I also wanted to go, but since I don't have a car, I gave up on the idea. Maybe next year! Paul and Trish bought a variety of dishes, too. They were all beautiful.
I can't believe you were painting your house in this hot weather! But I guess the paint dries really quickly under these conditions. Take care to drink lots of fluids though!
Well, I hope you get this message. Please take care and have a great week. Bye for now!

Hi!Thank you for nice coffee and a cake.
Good weather continues recently,is'nt it?
I had a day trip to Akkeshi town with my husband and our neighbors on Saturday.
We had a lot of nice oysters and time.
And on Sunday,I went to a pottery market held in
Simizu town once a year with my family.
I bought some plates and a teapot. They are all hundmade. Color of them is not only deep blue but
also changes by shine.I loved them.
Today,I painted a wall of my house.
How hot today was!!
My house is really old and big. So,I've done it for 5 years.I did second floor this time.
It's pretty fun.See you next class.

Hello Emiko! Thanks for your message and for wishing me a Happy Canada Day!
Yes, today is Canada Day, but I usually forget these kinds of holidays because I'm not in Canada. I know that's really bad of me, but.....
Well, Canada is 141 years old this year, I believe. So it's a fairly new country compared to a lot of other countries. I hope that gives Canada a modern edge.
You know, I sure wish I were a musical person! I always wanted to play the piano and the guitar. I started learning the guitar but I never kept it up. I want to start up again this year. Actually, I brought my guitar back with me from Canada, but I haven't practiced it yet.
Anyway, I hope you have a good day! It's beautiful today, this Canada Day!
Take care!

~♪ Happy Canada Day!!!♪~
I want tell you this...so I send you second message. I never know about this anniversary till today. How old is Canada?
Yes,My son also said the didjeridu is a very difficult instrument to play. Sometimes he seems to practice it on a quiet hill. He isn't a musical person but plays the piano a little.
Okay, take care and see you on Thursday!
Bye for now!

Hello Emiko! Thank you for your interesting message. I'm glad to hear that you liked the maple flavored coffee. I also think it's very good. The funny thing is, I had maple flavored coffee for the first time after I returned back from Canada during Golden Week, in Japan!
Yes, I'm sure I like the jam you are talking about. It sounds delicious! I would like to try some if you have any extra.
So your son bought some interesting musical instruments, hey? Is he a musical person? Can he play any other musical instruments? I've heard of a Didjeridu and I've seen many different kinds of drums. But I heard that the didjeridu is a very difficult instrument to play. I wish you son good luck with it!
Okay, I should stop here and get working. I hope you have a good week and I'll see you on Thursday. Bye for now!

Hello Joe! How are you doing?
Thank you so much for special coffee and cakes!! I have a Canadian maple flavored coffee for the first time. It was yummy!! Thank's for your surprising!!
It was fine, yesterday. So I went to Haskatpu(I don't know how's spelling in alphabet)farm to pick it in Kamishihoro. Have you seen it? It's like a blueberry. The taste is sourer than a blueberry. The jam made from it is delicious.I look forward to making this jam every year. However my husband is making it.He is better than me only jam making!? Have you eaten it? If you like it,I'll give it to you.
By the way,My son bought rare and interesting musical instruments."Didjeridu" is Aborigine's instrument and it's like long whistle. Then he also bought the drum named "Diembe" of West African. Oh my goodness!! I can't undestand he might do...I'm always surprised by his actions. But Didjeridu has a natural, healing or nostalgic sounds. I also like it. These natural sounds make me relaxed. I hope he become good at player someday.
Anyway, please take care and have a great week! I'll talk to you soon. Bye for now!
