Step 4D

Good evening! Well, of course there were a bunch of absent students tonight so it was great having Atsuko join us. We ended up with a total of seven students. I really wonder if we'll ever have a full class of ten students with all the regular members. Tonight, after pair disucssions, we started on the grammar point right away and spent the entire class doing exercises to support the grammar structure. And there were some questions about the pronunciation of "director" and "directing." I'm sorry that I couldn't be of much help, but I don't always know what's standard since I speak only one kind of English out of many kinds (I speak Northern Canadian!). But that is definitely something you can easily check in almost any dictionary. Next week we will continue to study the new grammar point and also do some review of the unit before.
