Step 4D

Hello everyone! Wow, we had a pretty big class of eight students tonight! It was a lot of fun, too (and Shogo was joking around a lot, too!). We started class with a quick open discussion and then we brainstormed some interesting questions to interview a partner with. Some of your questions were very deep and some of them were a little silly, but that's what makes these kinds of activities fun! Also, Kyoko joined us tonight, so it was interesting to have a new face in class. Then we started the textbook and did the first two sections of Unit one. If there are any vocabulary words that you are unsure about the meaning, please look them up at home. And please study the vocabulary handout I gave you before next week. Thanks for coming and have a good week! I hope to see Yukie in class next time! Bye for now!

Hello Teruyasu! Thank you for writing a message to me. It was great hearing from you.
Please don't worry too much about making mistakes in class. These kinds of misunderstandings do happen when you try to communicate in a foreign language. Sometimes your opinions come across too strongly and other times it's hard to find the right words to express yourself. And in other situations you may use the totally wrong word in a funny or strange way or even in a negative way.
In any case, I think you did the right thing by writing to me to explain the situation. At least you communicated your worries to me and also let Fumiko know about your mistake.
Good for you Teruyasu!
Anyway, please take care and have a good week. I will see you in class next time! Bye for now!

Hello Joe!
I have something perceived after the class. That's like this. When I was expressing my opinion, I used completely wrong words in it by mistake. I was going to say the words "not negligent", but I said "not ignorant" instead. It was my big mistake. What a ignorant I was! I might have hurt Fumiko's feeling. I do say it's just my mistake, so never mind. But this kind of mistake could be happened again because we are learners. What do think about, Joe?
Goodbye.
