Sunday Breakfast

People in my Thursday class saw me hobbling around because my knee hurt and it didn't get much better on Friday. There really wasn't much I could do with a stiff, sore knee, so on Saturday I spent all day working on computer projects with an ice pack on my knee. Nice thing about having a notebook computer is you can sit outside and work.

Unexpectedly, this morning Noriko woke up early and decided she would like to have pancakes for breakfast. If we have instant pancake mix she will make them for herself, but we were out. When that happens it falls to me to whip up a batch from scratch. Today I decided to make buttermilk pancakes using whole wheat flour. From the photos you can see they turned out pretty well.

With the beautiful weather this morning we decided to eat out on the deck. What you can't see in the pictures is the potatoes in the neighboring field. The purple flowers are really fantastic.
