Rainy Day

Are you using the rainy weather as an excuse to stay inside and study English? We had guests for brunch, so I wish the weather had been nice so that we could have sat out on the deck. Even with the bad weather we had a good time with a lot of good conversation. I have to say that my pancakes didn't turn out very well today, but I am not sure exactly why. I did everything the way I normally do, so I guess I will blame the weather.

In my post about last weekend I don't think I mentioned that I hurt my back lifting those heavy logs. It was a painful week and I tried to go the hot spring every chance I could to soak my back. By yesterday my back was feeling a little bit better, so I could do some things outside. I was careful about lifting things or how bent over, though. I was able to finish planting my vegetable garden, but my some tomato plants and cucumber plant look sick because of the cold weather we had earlier in the month.
