I gave up.

I mentioned in most of the classes that I would be taking part in a Mori-no-kairo event on Sunday, so I thought I would let you know how it went. We got lucky with the weather and the rain stopped shortly after we got to the forest. The turn out for the event was pretty good; there were several new faces. The theme this time was to build small items from birch trees that we cut down. Many people made easels or small plant stands. I decided I would make a bench, and use a more complicated technique. It didn't go well and with ten minutes left I was far from finished so I gave up. I guess I shouldn't have been so ambitious.

When I got home I decided to do some gardening and cut some grass. I had planted some seeds awhile ago, but nothing has come up. I think that the seeds were too old, so I replanted the spot with seeds I bought on Friday. I hope that they come up this time. I also cut the grass around all of the flower and vegetable beds.
