A busy 3 days

Did everyone enjoy the 3-day weekend? I was pretty busy with parties and then a trip over to the Hidaka area.

On Friday night Noriko had a party with former members of the Kawanishi Elementary school PTA. They got together to celebrate the promotion of a guy who had been vice-principal when Kai was in the 5th and 6th grades. I was the driver, so I didn't drink.

Saturday was a gardening day. With all the bad weather we have been having I haven't been able to weed the garden or flower beds. It took me most of the morning to get things cleaned up. That night there was a party with the members of the city committee that I was on. The professor who was the leader of the committee was in town, so they decided to get together. The often had parties after the meetings, but I could never attend because I had classes at JOY. It was a lot of fun.

The next day we went over to visit friends in the Shizunai area. We had business in Nakasatsunai first, so we decided to use the Tenma Kaido Pass. On the way we stopped at the Scenic Cafe in Churui and a small farm on the Tenma Kaido Road that sells bread and cheese.

The weather wasn't much better on the other side of the moutains, there was little sunshine yesterday from Hidaka to the top of Nisho Pass, but when we came out of the tunnel on the Tokachi side it was foggy.
