Everyone was back this week and there were a variety of topics in the warm up period. Yoko told us she got a new washing machine because her 18 year-old one died. Mika mentioned that she had gone to a movie with her husband and Tomoe said she had never been to a movie with hers. Mika then asked where they went on dates before the got married. It took awhile, but we finally go the answer from her.

Kazue and Fumiko were talking about one of their favorite subjects -- movies. I guess they announced that they are going to be making another Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Fumiko also said that her husband surprised her with flowers on Girls Day last Monday.

We went over the homework and it took a little longer than I thought it would. It is a difficult grammar pattern, so I understand. Remember, if you want me to look at your sentences again, send them to me by e-mail.

We jumped up to Unit 10 and worked with present perfect continuous and present perfect. The homework for next week is to do these drills here and here.
